As one of the survivors and a member of the New Los Angeles (NLA) colony, your mission is to help build a new home on the vast and hostile planet Mira. This seamless open world features five continents with otherworldly landscapes teeming with unknown creatures, some of epic proportions, and players will have to fight there for the future of humanity.Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition puts the protagonist at the heart of all the action in this self-contained science-fiction adventure. It is possible to customise the appearance and class of the avatar protagonist, while the deep combat system offers a wide variety of options. Once players have proved themselves worthy of the BLADE organisation, they will also be able to unlock a powerful Skell: huge transformable robotic exoskeletons that allow them to explore Mira at high speed and take on gigantic enemies that are too large to fight on foot.

During the reconstruction of NLA, players will be able to meet its inhabitants and help them with their troubles. Increasing affinity with party members will unlock new missions that grant rare equipment and other great rewards. In addition, players can join an online squad* and take on specific missions in multiplayer, including the super-challenging battles against World Enemies. It is also possible to recruit player avatars from around the world to join the player's team during the main story.
