New monsters with a unique ecology: Magnamalo, Aknosom, Great Izuchi or Tetranadon. As well as the new monsters, many old fan favourites also return in this instalment, so keep an eye out for any new information!

Discover a new type of companion! The Canyne companions, a new and loyal type of companion, make their first appearance in this game. Canyne companions will not only help you with their attacks, but you can also ride on their backs!

Monster Hunter Rise takes place in Kamura Village, a land inspired by ninjas, and invites you to explore ecosystems teeming with life, where you will face imposing monsters to become the ultimate hunter.

The story takes place one hundred years after the terrible devastation caused by the last calamity. Hunters must now face new nightmare monsters that threaten to plunge the land into chaos once again.

The story of Kamura Village This village, known for its Tatara Steel, is where hunters make their living. The Rampage, a calamity that devastated the village 50 years ago, is about to happen again, which is why the inhabitants are in a state of turmoil. The hero must become the greatest hunter there is and overcome this calamity with the help of all the villagers.

New local area: Shrine Ruins. Once a place where people prayed for protection, this shrine has fallen into ruin and is now haunted by the roars of monsters, day and night. However, it still retains its sacred nature and exudes a mysterious aura.
