Begin the search for the Crystal Stars

Mario travels to Rogueport, the famous city, to help Princess Peach search for treasure. But upon arriving, he discovers that Peach has disappeared! After learning about the legend of the Crystal Stars, Mario sets off in search of this mythical treasure, hoping to find the princess too.

Of course, Mario is not the only one hoping to find the Crystal Stars, and Bowser will not be alone in causing trouble this time either! Will our heroes be able to discover these ancient objects, open the Thousand-Year Door and perhaps save the world?

An astonishing paper world

To find the Crystal Stars, you will have to travel beyond the boundaries of Rogueport and explore the world. All kinds of discoveries await you: a dragon hidden in a gloomy castle, a cursed village shrouded in perpetual darkness, a dangerous investigation aboard a moving train and much more!

Mario's paper abilities will help you make your way through the world and explore! Try turning into a paper plane to fly over chasms or into an ultra-thin sheet to slip through narrow spaces. And there are many more abilities to discover!

Countless companions

Along the way, you will meet a quirky cast of characters who will be delighted to join you. Your allies will not only help you find the Crystal Stars, but will also add their own personal flair to the adventure!

Each companion has their own unique abilities: for example, Goombella can reveal information about enemies or locations; Koops can pick up hard-to-reach objects; Flurrie can blow obstacles away to reveal secret paths; and much more. You can also use these abilities during combat to gain an advantage over your enemies.

The battle stage

Have you encountered enemies along the way? Face them in turn-based battles in front of an enthusiastic audience! Use all kinds of tactics to defeat your opponents, including attacks obtained by using special badges and special abilities that allow you to channel the power of the Crystal Stars.

Launch your attacks by pressing the button at exactly the right moment to increase your power, or press the button when you are attacked to reduce the damage you take. The better you perform, the more the audience will cheer you on!
