The new Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes you on a journey to Sinnoh many years ago, where you will capture, explore and investigate its wild Pokémon and create the region's first Pokédex.
To catch a Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will have to observe it and learn how it behaves, then sneak up on it, aim with the Poké Ball and catch it!

Your Pokémon will also help you when battling the wild Pokémon you want to catch. All you have to do is throw the Poké Ball containing your Pokémon near a wild Pokémon, and the battle will begin automatically. To fight, choose from the moves your ally knows.

This adventure will take you to the Sinnoh region, where Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl took place. However, you will have to go back many years, even before the idea of being a Pokémon Trainer or the existence of a Pokémon League had been conceived.

You will encounter Pokémon living in the wild in very inhospitable environments, revealing a very different Sinnoh region from the one you may remember from Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl.

When you begin your adventure, you can choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil or Oshawott to accompany you in your task of creating the region's first Pokédex.

They arrived alongside a Pokémon Professor who found them during his research in various regions.

Starting Pokémon:

Rowlet

This Pokémon comes from the Alola region. During the day, it stores energy through photosynthesis and becomes more active at night. It approaches its enemies by gliding through the air without making the slightest sound and delivers incredibly powerful kicks before they realise it.

Cyndaquil

This Pokémon comes from the Johto region. It is timid and always curls up like a ball. If it gets frightened, the flames on its back burn more intensely. If it is attacked, it lights up its back to protect itself.

Oshawott

This Pokémon comes from the Unova region. It attacks with the shell on its belly. As soon as it stops an attack, it immediately launches a counterattack. It also uses it as a tool to cut hard berries.

Who is Arceus?

The key to this story is the Pokémon Arceus. It is said to be responsible for creating everything in the world. What connection will this Pokémon have with your adventure?
