Return to the Kanto region and experience a classic Pokémon journey in a completely new way with Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu!, introducing a new style of gameplay that anyone can enjoy, combined with the fun of collecting Pokémon.

Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! is based on Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition, which was first released in Japan in 1998. This updated version has been redesigned to make the most of the unique capabilities of Nintendo Switch. The games also capture the fun of Pokémon GO and its intuitive Pokémon-catching mechanics.

- Befriend your travelling companion

At the beginning of your story, you will meet Pikachu, who will join you as your companion on your adventures, growing alongside you throughout your journey.

Pikachu will be with you wherever you go, whether hanging from your shoulder or riding on your head. However, do not let its adorable expressions deceive you into thinking that cuteness is all it has to offer. Your companion will also be a reliable ally in battle.

As well as determining your first companion Pokémon, there will be some differences in the species of Pokémon you encounter and the rate at which you encounter them depending on whether you choose Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee!

- Catching is easier

The games use the capabilities of Nintendo Switch to add new and more accessible ways to experience Pokémon and play in the Pokémon universe. Even those who have never played the Pokémon series before can dive straight into Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! They are easily accessible to newcomers to the series, but also have enough depth to keep veteran Trainers on their toes.

The way you catch Pokémon has changed dramatically compared with previous titles. You can now use your Nintendo Switch Joy-Con to throw a Poké Ball at your target with one hand, either by pressing a button or flicking your wrist. With fewer buttons and intuitive action, it has never been simpler.

- Play Pokémon together

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let's Go, Eevee! also feature simultaneous two-player gameplay. By sharing one of the Joy-Con controllers with a friend, two players can go on an adventure at the same time. Throw Poké Balls when you encounter Pokémon to increase your chances of successfully catching them, or have a friend help you by joining you in battles against Trainers in your game.

- Connection with Pokémon GO

There is a deep connection between Pokémon GO and Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: let's Go, Eevee! On the one hand, Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region that you caught in Pokémon GO can be brought into these two new Nintendo Switch games. However, that is not all.
