Middle-earth: Shadow of War™ features a completely original story, with the return of Talion and Celebrimbor, who must now cross enemy lines to raise an army and turn all of Mordor against the Dark Lord, Sauron.

In Middle-earth: Shadow of War™, players wield a new Ring of Power and face the deadliest enemies, including Sauron and his Nazgûl, in an epic battle for Middle-earth. This open-world action-adventure game features an expanded version of the award-winning Nemesis System. The robust customisation from the first game now applies to the entire world, where every environment and character is influenced by the player's decisions and actions, creating a personal and unique world with every new playthrough.

The innovative Nemesis System creates unique personal stories through procedurally generated enemies, who remember every encounter and have different personalities, strengths and weaknesses. Middle-earth: Shadow of War™ expands on this innovation by introducing followers, who will shape new stories of loyalty, betrayal and revenge. The Nemesis System is also expanded to create a unique and personal world through Nemesis Fortresses, allowing players to use different strategies to conquer dynamic strongholds with their own unique Orc army and create personalised worlds.

Set between the events of The Hobbit™ and The Lord of the Rings™, Middle-earth: Shadow of War™ continues the original story of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor™.
