Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

Thanks to Nintendo Switch, fans can enjoy the definitive version of Mario Kart 8 wherever and whenever they want, including local multiplayer races for up to eight drivers.

The popular tracks and characters from the Wii U version return, along with the downloadable tracks and characters. New characters also join the starting grid: Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl from Splatoon; King Boo; Dry Bones and Bowser Jr. In addition, Battle mode has been completely revamped with Balloon Battle and Bob-omb Blast, along with the inclusion of brand-new tracks such as Dragon Palace and Lunar Colony, which join old favourites such as Luigi's Mansion (GCN) and Battle Course 1 from Super Mario Kart (Super Nintendo Entertainment System).

You can now carry two items simultaneously, including some from previous Mario Kart games, such as Boo, the item thief, and the feather, which allows you to jump during battles. In addition, drivers can use the new Smart Steering feature, which helps them stay on the track even in 200cc races. In TV mode, the game reaches a resolution of 1080p.

Join Mario on a huge 3D adventure across the planet, using his new abilities to collect moons that will fuel your aircraft, the Odyssey. And in the meantime, rescue Princess Peach from Bowser's clutches!

This "sandbox"-style 3D Mario adventure (the first since Super Mario 64 in 1997 and Super Mario Sunshine for Game Cube in 2002) is packed to bursting with secrets and surprises. The board game remains faithful to the basic game structure, with four players taking turns moving around the board in search of stars. It is also possible to connect two Nintendo Switch consoles and enjoy this style of play and Toad's Rec Room mode.
