Who is this unusual Mario?

Cat Mario is a transformation of Mario who was first seen in the trailer for the new Wii U 3D Mario game: Super Mario 3D World. At first glance, he may be confused with Tanooki Mario, but they are different.

In this new transformation, he has new powers: Cat Mario can climb and run along walls, fences and similar surfaces. He can also climb to the top of the flagpoles at the end of levels (which is very convenient for many people).

He can attack enemies by swiping at them with his claws and can run quickly on all fours (just like a cat). Also, when you jump and press the attack button with the claws, Mario pounces on his enemies mid-jump and strikes them with his claws.

The princesses fight too

Cat Peach is a transformation available to Princess Peach. It is the result of using the Super Bell. Unlike normal Princess Peach, Peach wears a cat costume with pink fur that grants her different abilities.

She first appeared in Super Mario 3D World and has subsequently appeared in several other games. With this transformation, Peach can swipe at enemies or blocks to break them and climb surfaces to avoid falling into gaps or ravines.

She can also jump and dive down onto her opponents. Despite wearing the costume, Peach can still use her ability to float in the air. However, if Peach is hit by an enemy, she will lose the transformation and return to her normal form.
