After escaping the dystopian city of Midgar, Cloud and his friends set out on a journey across the planet. This vast, vibrant world is full of new adventures: gallop across the green plains on the back of a chocobo and explore expansive environments.

STORY

The Lifestream is the cycle of life and death, as all life born on the planet returns to it. However, the Shinra Electric Power Company drains the Lifestream, the essence of the planet, to generate mako energy.

After overcoming countless brutal battles in the metropolis of Midgar, former SOLDIER Cloud Strife and his companions make their way through the wide world. Travelling across the green plains on chocobos, they embark on the journey they are destined to take, but it is an uncertain path.

At the same time, 1st Class SOLDIER Zack Fair walks on the outskirts of Midgar. Wounded and exhausted, he drags his battered body along while helping his good friend Cloud, who is delirious due to severe mako poisoning. On the boundary between life and death, a fateful rift tears across the skies.

 Meanwhile, the anti-Shinra committee, led by Wutai's provisional government, issues a declaration of war.

In a sombre procession, mysterious figures in black robes carry the remains of Jenova, an infamous alien creature and the abomination from the stars that has caused the current situation.

Sensing the threat to the planet, the fearsome guardians known as the Weapons begin to awaken within the Lifestream.

Through the machinations of Sephiroth, Cloud's arch-enemy, the threads of fate resurface and become intertwined. 

FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is the highly anticipated new story within the FINAL FANTASY VII remake project, in which the iconic original game has been redesigned by its own creators across three standalone titles. In this instalment, you can enjoy a range of new elements as the story unfolds, culminating in a journey to the forgotten capital of the original FINAL FANTASY VII.
