KIRBY AIR RIDERS SWITCH2 PHYSICAL GAME FOR NINTENDO SWITCH 2 SPANISH VERSION EUROPEAN WARRANTY EUROPEAN WARRANTY
Kirby Air Riders offers a dizzying gaming experience packed with action on land, sea and in the air, with fun in the purest Kirby style. This new title improves and expands upon the concepts of Kirby Air Ride, which was originally released for Nintendo GameCube in Europe in 2004. Players can now choose from an entire cast of Riders, each with their own distinctive traits and abilities. They can also enjoy new Air Ride Machines, returning game modes and brand-new special techniques. The frenetic and chaotic action of Kirby Air Riders is the work of Sora Ltd. and Bandai Namco Studios, Inc.
- Driving techniques: Each Air Ride Machine (or simply «machine») has different forms and quirks. They normally hover close to the ground and move forwards automatically, so there is no need to press any button or move the left Joy-Con 2 control stick forwards to accelerate. To change the machine’s direction, simply move the left stick to the right or left.
- Gaining momentum: By pressing the B button, the machine will strike the ground so that it can build up momentum. Once the button is released, it will accelerate. As Masahiro Sakurai himself has explained, this is not only useful for gaining speed: by holding down the button and moving the left stick while taking a corner, it is also possible to drift, providing an even greater advantage.
- Special techniques: However, going at full speed and piloting well is not enough to get ahead of the competition. The Y button, or «special button», allows players to activate each character’s unique special technique. Players will attack rival Riders and enemies to fill the special gauge. Once it is full, they can unleash the technique in question. Most characters have a signature special technique, but Kirby has four different ones: one associated with each of his different appearances. By combining certain special techniques with attack techniques, such as the quick spin, which is activated by moving the stick rapidly, victory will be that little bit closer.
- Riders: Kirby Air Riders adds a strategic element to its chaotic environment by giving greater importance to the Rider chosen. In the game, each Rider has their own distinctive traits, which can affect the machine’s performance. These include, for example, their weight, endurance, special technique or close-range attack. These factors can give them an advantage or, on the contrary, make the action more unpredictable, depending on the environment in which it takes place. In fact, this is why, in Air Ride mode, a course is selected first, followed by the Rider and their machine. In addition to the iconic pink ball, a very well-balanced Rider, the cast includes familiar faces from the Kirby universe, such as Meta Knight, King Dedede and Bandana Waddle Dee, as well as some enemies, such as Cozy, Chef Kawasaki and Starman, among others. To keep moving forwards and stay hot on their rivals’ heels, Kirby Air Riders allows players to combine Riders and machines as they please.
- Machines: Air Ride Machines are not designed solely to make the most of speed. Like the Riders, each one has a greater or lesser resistance to attacks. Most machines can also glide through the air after jumping from a ramp or similar structures, and they can be made to descend or ascend by moving the left stick up or down. On the other hand, if players perform a perfect landing, they can gain speed. Additionally, they can slide along rails, drift and carry out other types of manoeuvres.
- Copy abilities: To balance the gameplay, Kirby Air Riders grants all Riders the ability to absorb or capture enemies in order to copy their abilities. Once acquired, players can use them to attack or temporarily increase their speed in additional ways.
