Monster Hunter Wilds is the eagerly awaited next instalment in the award-winning Monster Hunter franchise. The latest instalment in the beloved action RPG series, arriving on PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S on 28 February 2025, takes the excitement of hunting larger-than-life enemies in expansive natural environments to new immersive heights.

The story transports players to the Forbidden Lands, a mysterious wilderness that can transform in unexpected ways. This living world is teeming with rugged wildlife adapted to an ever-changing climate, including enormous monsters that players will face in action-packed encounters. As hunters, players protect the balance of the ecosystem, using resources from hunts to create powerful equipment and continue investigating the mysteries at the heart of these new lands.
1. New and Wild Adventure - Monster Hunter Wilds follows the story of a special Research Commission investigating the Forbidden Lands. Fully voiced for the first time in the series, the hunter is joined on their journey by a colourful cast of characters, including a Palico companion, guild handler Alma, loyal blacksmith Gemma and the mysterious girl Nata. Together, the team ventures into a new unexplored frontier where surprises await around every corner.
2. A living world: the Forbidden Lands encompass multiple biomes with dynamic identities, such as the Windward Plains and Scarlet Forest, where ecosystems shift between vibrant seasons teeming with life and relentless climates where monsters struggle for limited resources. Changes in the landscape will affect the creatures living there and force hunters to adapt as well.
3. New monsters and wildlife: Monster Hunter Wilds introduces a variety of new creatures, ranging from packs of small species to large monsters, some of which roam the Forbidden Lands in herds. Every creature hunters encounter in the wild has carved out a special place in its habitat and possesses unique attacks and behaviours. Players can now also ride high atop the Seikret, a new and agile mount that allows hunters to traverse difficult terrain, perform actions such as sharpening weapons on the move and switch between two weapons while out hunting.
4. Evolved hunting action: the series' acclaimed action-packed gameplay is back and more exciting than ever! Hunters can track monsters with a variety of new moves, special abilities, equipment and more. The action now also flows seamlessly from cinematic scenes into gameplay, resulting in a new level of immersion.
5. Cross-play multiplayer: alongside the option to enjoy the story of Monster Hunter Wilds solo, hunters can join up with up to three other players on any platform to explore the world together and take on the game's challenges as a hunting party, or receive help from notable story characters such as support hunter NPCs.
