Digimon World: Next Order begins when players, drawn into the Digital World, discover that it is under attack by Machinedramons. Rescued from imminent destruction by two Digimon, players must make their way with their Digimon partners through the Digital World to uncover the source of the Machinedramon scourge and find a way back to the real world. Along the way, players will feed and train their Digimon partners for battle as they progress through the game.

Digimon World: Next Order features more than 215 Digimon for players to encounter, recruit and tame during their adventure. Digimon World: Next Order will also give players the option to play as either a male or female protagonist and, for the first time in the history of the franchise, allow them to explore the Digital World with two Digimon partners. The key to finding a way back to the real world and preventing the total destruction of the Digital World at the hands of the Machinedramons will lie in forming strong bonds and training each Digimon effectively.
