The Settlement Defense Front (SetDef) is made up of an insurgent group that broke away from the United Nations Space Alliance during a secession war years ago. In the world of Call of Duty®: Infinite Warfare, our planet has been stripped of its natural resources due to population growth and industrial expansion. Earth's inhabitants now depend on colonial settlements throughout the Solar System, which extract fuel and other vital resources from planets and asteroids. SetDef is a fascist force made up of radicalised military personnel hardened by the extreme conditions of the mining colonies. Its objective is to seize control of these outposts and their riches, and impose its rule over Earth's nations. After years of stagnation, diplomatic relations are extremely tense and it would only take a small incident to trigger a full-scale war.
