Killer is dead Nightmare edition is set in the not-too-distant future of a world similar, but not identical, to the one we know today. The player controls an executioner called Mondo Zappa, who wields a Japanese sword in his right hand and operates interchangeable weapons with his artificial left arm. His ultimate goal is to execute cruel criminals scattered across the world and beyond. 
The new and respectable recruit of the Executioners Office, Mondo Zappa takes centre stage as he stalks and eliminates a wide variety of cruel criminals from all over the world (and even beyond it). As he settles into his new job, he begins to become aware of his inner demons; he will attempt to balance his talent for delivering swift and brutal justice with his fleeting memories of a traumatic past, all seasoned with his multiple sensual conquests. 
Whether he is a killer, a lover or a gigolo, his story of passion and brutality begins after joining Bryan's Executioners Office. A world of pain and pleasure awaits him; there is no one to tell him where his steps will lead.
