Description

Set in Mexico, this third-person action game puts us in the role of twin brothers (one of them a DEA agent) determined to put an end to the Mexican “cartel”, and thus avenge their father’s death.

InTotal Overdosewe will find action galore in a thoroughly Mexican setting, with generous doses of humour from both the main character and our adversaries (who are numerous and varied) throughout the game. InTotal Overdosewe can drive cars and walk through the streets in search of extra points and weapons, in true GTA style.

InTotal Overdosewe control Ramiro Cruz, “the mad gringo”, a former convict who is taken out of prison to join a case involving the mafia and drugs, a plot that will draw us in with its story.

The other strong point ofTotal Overdoseis undoubtedly its countless killing moves, combos, variety of weapons, bullet time,… and, of course, the crazy moves, which we will unlock by performing combos and which will be a great help when it comes to taking down our enemies, reminding us, for example, of the guitar scene from the film Desperados.

The atmosphere reaches its peak thanks to the full Spanish dubbing of each and every one of the game’s effects, making us feel more involved in the game. Its excellent soundtrack, featuring groups such as Molotov, also contributes to this. It is a third-person video game that follows the formula created by the Grand Theft Auto series: a mixture of action, spectacle and the freedom for the player to move around the city presented to us. It also contains influences from Prince of Persia and Max Payne, such as turning back time and bullet time, while adding its own ideas such as the original power-ups (increased strength or more powerful weapons) and its distinctive sense of humour, also paying homage to films such as El Mariachi with the Crazy Moves.
