SUPER SMASH BROS ULTIMATE CHALLENGER PACK 9 PYRA AND MYTHRA DIGITAL CONTENT

It is time to join forces with Pyra and Mythra, two fighters in one who are joining the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate The legendary Aegises from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, who embody fire and light, are the latest additions to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: Fighters Pass Vol. 2

From 5 March, Pyra and Mythra, from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, officially join the roster of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for Nintendo Switch. These fighters are part of Challenger Pack 9, which also includes a new stage and a selection of musical tracks from Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pyra is a legendary Blade, a living weapon who allies herself with Rex, the protagonist of this role-playing game. Following a series of dramatic events, Mythra appears: Pyra's other personality, sealed within her. Both characters are bound together by fate and, in the same way, they are also linked on the battlefield of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

For all intents and purposes, Pyra and Mythra are a single character on the fighter-selection screen, but players can switch between them at will during battle. Pyra is more powerful, while Mythra is faster. By switching from one fighter to the other, players can unleash devastating attacks with Pyra and move across the stage at lightning speed with Mythra. This makes Pyra and Mythra an unparalleled duo of fighters in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

The new stage included in Challenger Pack 9 is the Cloud Sea of Alrest, inspired by one of the best-known environments in Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Players will travel across the stage on the back of Azurda, a colossal creature that swims through the Cloud Sea. As Azurda moves onwards, players will see familiar landscapes from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, including flying ships, titans and immense kingdoms. In addition, some characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will also make an appearance on the stage, so fans of the original game should keep a close eye out to avoid missing these cameos.

Currently, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features three musical tracks from Xenoblade Chronicles 2, but after downloading Challenger Pack 9, this number will rise to no fewer than 19.
