VIVID COLOURS

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) includes a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen's vivid colours and high contrast provide an enhanced handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you are racing at high speed on the tarmac or facing fearsome enemies.

Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen has no backlight, displaying images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off a pixel's light displays darker black tones, providing greater contrast.

NINTENDO'S HANDHELD AND TABLETOP CONSOLE

The Nintendo Switch box includes:

Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's home console. It combines the power of a home console with the mobility of a handheld console. In other words, it is a home console that you can play anywhere.

The console

Nintendo Switch offers three game modes that allow usrs to continue their game at any time and place: TV mode, handheld mode and tabletop mode.

As a home console it connects in TV mode via the Nintendo Switch dock. However, at any time the usr can remove the console frm the Nintendo Switch dock and continue playing independently in handheld mode.

In handheld mode, the usr plays on a 6.2-inch multitouch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720. Nintendo Switch offers the same multiplayer capabilities as a handheld console.

Tabletop mode allows the portable screen to become a multiplayer device using the
Joy-Con controllers.

The console dock

The Nintendo Switch dock has been designed to make it very easy and quick to switch frm TV mode to handheld mode and continue playing. The transition depends on the game, but in the case of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, for example, it is almost instant.

The Nintendo Switch dock contains no additional processing components. It holds the console in TV mode, connects it to the power supply and charges it, as well as enabling connection via HDMI and other USB ports for connecting additional accessories.

However, when Nintendo Switch is in the dock and powered by mains electricity rather than the internal battery, some games may run at a higher resolution.

The Joy-Con controllers

Its controllers are called Joy-Con and together they contain the same buttons and triggers as a traditional controller. The difference? You can use them in many ways, together or separately.

The way you play depends on the game. Some games work with classic controls. Others may require you to use a single Joy-Con vertically or horizontally, or hold one Joy-Con in each hand.

When the Joy-Con controllers are removed frm the Nintendo Switch console, they communicate using Bluetooth.
The Joy-Con controllers include a gyroscope and an accelerometer. In addition, the right Joy-Con includes an infrared motion camera that can detect the distance, size and movement of nearby objects. For example, it can detect how far away your hand is and whether you are forming rock, paper or scissors.

Nintendo Switch controllers feature a new HD rumble system that conveys a much greater sense of realism when vibrating. Imagine the Joy-Con as a glass filled with ice cubes. With HD rumble, when you tilt or move the Joy-Con, you can feel how many cubes there are and how they collide.

Nintendo Switch supports up to eight wireless controllers connected at the same time.The number of controllers that can be connected depends on the game.
