NINTENDO SWITCH OLED

A new console joins the Nintendo Switch family: Nintendo Switch (OLED model), available from 8 October, expands the range of options for enjoying the extensive catalogue of games for Nintendo Switch. Here you can watch the presentation video for the new console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model).

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is the same size as the original Nintendo Switch console, but includes a 7-inch OLED screen with vivid colours and high contrast. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also features a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new dock with a wired LAN port for playing online with a more stable internet connection, 64 GB of internal storage and built-in speakers with optimised audio for enjoying clearer sound in handheld and tabletop modes. Like the Nintendo Switch console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) lets you play on the TV and share the detachable Joy-Con controllers for unforgettable multiplayer fun.

VIVID COLOURS

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) includes a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen's vivid colours and high contrast provide an enhanced handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you are racing at high speed on the tarmac or facing formidable enemies.

Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen does not have a backlight, so it displays images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off the light of a pixel displays darker black tones, providing greater contrast.

WIDE ADJUSTABLE STAND

Enjoy tabletop mode at your preferred angle: open the stand and pass a controller to another player to share the screen and enjoy competitive and co-operative multiplayer wherever and whenever you want.

NEW DOCK WITH WIRED LAN PORT

The dock included with Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features two USB ports, an HDMI port for connecting to the TV and a new wired LAN port, allowing you to enjoy more stable online play in TV mode.

MORE INTERNAL STORAGE: 64 GB

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features 64 GB of internal storage. You can expand the available space with a compatible microSD card (sold separately). Download your favourite games to enjoy them wherever and whenever you want.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch game catalogue. However, the gaming experience may differ when using some Toy-Con accessories from the Nintendo Labo range, due to the difference in the size of the console and screen of Nintendo Switch (OLED model) compared with Nintendo Switch.

All previous versions of the Joy-Con controllers and accessories for Nintendo Switch are compatible with Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
