A new console joins the Nintendo Switch family: with Nintendo Switch (OLED model), on sale from 8 October, the range of options for enjoying the extensive catalogue of games for Nintendo Switch is growing. Here you can watch the presentation video for the new console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model).

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is the same size as the original Nintendo Switch console, but features a 7-inch OLED screen with vivid colours and high contrast. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also features a wide, adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new dock with a wired LAN port for playing online with a more stable internet connection, 64 GB of internal storage and built-in speakers with optimised audio for clearer sound in handheld and tabletop modes. Like the Nintendo Switch console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) lets you play on the TV and share the detachable Joy-Con controllers for unforgettable multiplayer gaming.

VIVID COLOURS

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen’s vivid colours and high contrast provide an enriched handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you’re racing at high speed on the tarmac or facing off against fearsome enemies.

Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen has no backlight, so it displays images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off a pixel’s light displays darker black tones, providing greater contrast.

WIDE, ADJUSTABLE STAND

Enjoy tabletop mode at the angle you prefer: open the stand and pass a controller to another player to share the screen and enjoy competitive and co-operative multiplayer wherever and whenever you want.

The wide, adjustable stand on Nintendo Switch (OLED model) can be set to your preferred angle for comfortable tabletop gaming.

NEW DOCK WITH WIRED LAN PORT

The dock included with Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features two USB ports, an HDMI port for connecting to the TV and a new wired LAN port, allowing you to enjoy more stable online gaming in TV mode.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features 64 GB of internal storage. You can expand the available space with a compatible microSD card (sold separately). Download your favourite games and enjoy them wherever and whenever you want.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch game catalogue. However, the gaming experience may differ when using some Toy-Con accessories from the Nintendo Labo series, due to the difference in the size of the console and screen of Nintendo Switch (OLED model) compared with Nintendo Switch.

All previous versions of Joy-Con controllers and accessories for Nintendo Switch are compatible with Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
