A new console is joining the Nintendo Switch family: Nintendo Switch (OLED model), available from 8 October, expands the range of options for enjoying the extensive Nintendo Switch game library. Here you can watch the presentation video for the new console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is the same size as the original Nintendo Switch console, but features a 7-inch OLED screen with vivid colours and high contrast. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also features a wide, adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new dock with a wired LAN port for playing online with a more stable internet connection, 64 GB of internal storage and built-in speakers with optimised audio for clearer sound in handheld and tabletop modes. Like Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) lets you play on your TV and share the detachable Joy-Con controllers for multiplayer fun like never before.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen’s vivid colours and high contrast provide an enhanced handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you are racing at high speed on the tarmac or facing formidable enemies.
Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen has no backlight, so it displays images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off a pixel displays darker black tones, providing greater contrast.
Enjoy tabletop mode at your preferred angle: open the stand and pass a controller to another player to share the screen and enjoy competitive and cooperative multiplayer wherever and whenever you want.

The dock included with Nintendo Switch (OLED model) features two USB ports, an HDMI port for connecting to a TV and a new wired LAN port, allowing you to enjoy more stable online play in TV mode.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch game library. However, the gaming experience may differ when using some Toy-Con accessories from the Nintendo Labo series, due to the difference in the size of the console and screen of Nintendo Switch (OLED model) compared with Nintendo Switch.
All previous versions of the Joy-Con controllers and accessories for Nintendo Switch are compatible with Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
