EVERY STORY HAS A BEGINNING

The first tale in The Legend of Zelda timeline stars a young knight who must cross the endless sky and the mythical land below to find his childhood friend, Zelda. As the fate of the two is forged, a mysterious demon lord sets a wicked plan in motion to resurrect an ancient evil...

PLAY YOUR WAY

You can enjoy this epic adventure in two different ways: wield the sword and control it with ease thanks to intuitive motion controls, or use the buttons for the first time, which are perfect for playing in handheld mode or with the Nintendo Switch Lite console.

Thanks to the improved motion controls, you can experience the action like never before. Move the right Joy-Con to make Link use his sword; meanwhile, with the left Joy-Con you can raise your shield to protect yourself from enemy attacks. These controls can also be used with various tools and items, such as the bow and arrows, or to throw bombs.

The buttons, meanwhile, offer a more traditional The Legend of Zelda experience. In this case, you can control Link's sword by tilting the right stick in whichever direction you want.

AN ADVENTURE AT DIFFERENT HEIGHTS

Take to the skies on the back of your faithful Loftwing and visit the islands scattered across the horizon, then descend to the surface spoken of in legends and explore forests, deserts, volcanoes and much more. Make friends with new allies, unravel hidden secrets and face hordes of monsters on your journey to thwart Ghirahim's evil plans.

VENTURE INTO THE UNKNOWN

Hidden in each region of the surface is a vast dungeon filled with fearsome enemies, treasures and puzzles designed to test the mettle of even the bravest hero. Defeat the guardian waiting at the end of each dungeon and you will be one step closer to saving the world.

THE TOOLS (AND TRICKS) OF THE TRADE

As you explore the lands below Skyloft, you will discover a wide variety of weapons, gadgets and items to help you on your adventure. You can even upgrade some of them and unlock their full potential if you use the right materials!

A CLASSIC ADVENTURE, LIKE NEVER BEFORE

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD modernises the original title and adapts it for Nintendo Switch, improving the gaming experience in various ways.

Optimised performance.
Enjoy improved motion controls thanks to the Joy-Con controllers.
Buttons can be used for the first time, allowing you to choose the play style that suits you best.
Various improvements, including adjustments to tutorials and tips for players throughout the adventure.

amiibo compatible

The Zelda and Loftwing amiibo (sold separately) can be used at any time while exploring the main map or dungeons to create a checkpoint and return to the sky. Scan the amiibo again when you are in the air or visiting one of the floating islands above the clouds to return to the checkpoint you created earlier.

VIVID COLOURS

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) includes a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen's vivid colours and high contrast provide an enhanced handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you are racing at high speed on the tarmac or facing fearsome enemies.

Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen has no backlight, displaying images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off a pixel's light displays darker black tones, providing greater contrast.

WIDE ADJUSTABLE STAND

Enjoy tabletop mode at your preferred angle: open the stand and pass a controller to another player to share the screen and enjoy competitive and cooperative multiplayer wherever and whenever you want.

The wide adjustable stand on Nintendo Switch (OLED model) can be positioned at your preferred angle for comfortable tabletop play.

NEW DOCK WITH WIRED LAN PORT

The dock included with Nintendo Switch (OLED model) has two USB ports, an HDMI port for connecting to a TV and a new wired LAN port, allowing you to enjoy more stable online play in TV mode.

MORE INTERNAL STORAGE: 64 GB

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) has 64 GB of internal storage. You can expand the available space with a compatible microSD card (sold separately). Download your favourite games and enjoy them wherever and whenever you want.

BUILT-IN SPEAKERS WITH OPTIMISED AUDIO

Enjoy clear sound when playing in handheld or tabletop mode.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch game catalogue. However, the gaming experience may differ when using certain Toy-Con accessories from the Nintendo Labo range, due to the difference in the size of the console and screen of Nintendo Switch (OLED model) compared with Nintendo Switch.

All previous versions of the Joy-Con controllers and accessories for Nintendo Switch are compatible with Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
