In State of Siege, we venture into the worst prison on the planet—not just the worst, but the largest of them all. In fact, it is an entire walled city guarded by the army, within which the dregs of society serve their sentences. Behind its walls, criminals prepared to do anything, capable of extorting, stealing or risking their lives for a few miserable cigarettes, organise themselves into gangs to fight for control of the streets and the scarce resources available in the prison. Our mission will be to lead one of these gangs and, with it, control as many important trades within the prison city as possible, while also, of course, attempting to escape with the gang leader. We will have to manage each of our scarce resources to move skilfully through the numerous barricades that will hinder our progress through the city; we will trade goods in the market, learn trades, lose what little we have in the casino, forge documents, seek alliances with corrupt police officers or even play Russian roulette with the least likeable of our gang comrades. But beware: your gang will not be the only one prepared to do anything to win. You will have to overcome the other gangs with which you share the prison... In this game, only one gang can win; only one will earn the respect of all the inmates thanks to its successful escapes and acquired trades. From 2 to 4 players are called upon to take up this challenge. Will you be able to do it?
