With EA SPORTS VOLTA, the culture and creativity of urban football return in spectacular fashion. Create your character, express your style and play various types of freestyle football in environments around the world.

VOLTA gameplay:Express your style thanks to an entirely new gameplay system with all the realism of football. VOLTA gameplay is inspired by how the sport is played in the streets, on fenced-in pitches and on futsal courts around the world. It offers new tools that immerse you in urban football, such as simplified tricks and skill moves, new animations for stylish movements and even the option to use the wall as if it were a team-mate.

Player:VOLTA Football lets you customise all sorts of aspects of your player, from clothing to celebration gestures, hairstyles and tattoos. Create a male or female character and get ready to show off their ball skills in the various VOLTA Football game modes.

Appearance:Show off your style in VOLTA Football by equipping your players with all kinds of the latest clothing, such as shirts, sweatshirts and footwear, as well as different tattoos and hairstyles. You will unlock more customisation items as you progress through VOLTA and complete challenges.

Locations:The street football areas around the world are the main stars of VOLTA Football. An underpass in Amsterdam, a fenced-in pitch in London, a rooftop in Tokyo... VOLTA Football shows you the most urban side of the world's most popular sport.

Match types: Customisation is the defining feature of VOLTA Football. You can play matches in 3 v 3 Rush (without goalkeepers), 4 v 4, 4 v 4 Rush, 5 v 5 and professional futsal formats. As if that were not enough, VOLTA includes areas of different sizes with and without walls so that you can enjoy the «jogo bonito» your way.

Game modes:

VOLTA Kick-Off: Take to the streets with your favourite professional teams and compete in the various locations and match types available in VOLTA.
Face PSG and Lyon in Paris, play the Madrid derby on the streets of Spain or arrange a showdown between Chelsea and Tottenham on a fenced-in pitch in London.

VOLTA World: Strengthen your VOLTA team by playing single-player matches against community-created squads in different match types and locations. Each time you win, you can add a player from the opposing team to your ranks to improve your squad in terms of skill and chemistry.

VOLTA Story:Join your player on a narrative experience in which you will come face to face with street football legends from around the world. Earn rewards, customise your player, sign others for your team and make your way to the VOLTA World Championship tournament in Buenos Aires.

VOLTA League:Climb divisions and avoid relegation in the online VOLTA League. In the new player-versus-player matches, you will have to face other online users and earn promotion one victory at a time.

GAMEPLAY

Get ready to enjoy FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE, an entirely new platform offering unprecedented levels of realism. FOOTBALL INTELLIGENCE raises the bar for everything that happens on the pitch with the ball, without the ball and in the ball. This system is based on three fundamental aspects: decisive moments (with the ball), authentic game flow (without the ball) and ball physics (in the ball). The aim is for every match to revolve around the player.

Authentic game flow:The world's best footballers take space, time and position into account. Authentic game flow ensures that all AI-controlled players do exactly that. The result is an environment that creates more space and time and places greater emphasis on user-controlled plays.

Dynamic one-on-ones: The new game flow, based on the world's best leagues, offers a much more realistic distribution of plays and pace, resulting in more individual battles and greater emphasis on user-controlled decisive moments.

AI defending:Improvements to positioning and tackling systems create the ideal environment for the AI to better complement the player controlled by the user. The AI provides intelligent defensive support and gives users an advantage in this position, making the experience much more satisfying.

Natural player movement: Thanks to innovations in movement and positioning, AI players move more naturally and fluidly than ever before, covering the pitch in a more realistic way.

Decisive moments: Football features situations that can completely change the outcome of a match. From technical finishes in the third of the pitch closest to the opposition goal to controlled tackles in defence, matches are won or lost in user-controlled decisive moments.

Strafe dribbling: The new strafe dribbling mechanic adds a new dimension to attack, allowing you to move with unprecedented agility, put your opponent where you want them and beat them with skill or pace.

Controlled tackles:The active touch system makes player-controlled defending more advantageous and rewarding thanks to the new tackling animations. The cleaner the tackle, the more likely you are to win the ball.

Set-piece refresh:The system has been updated to give you more options when aiming direct free kicks and penalties. Thanks to the new, more skill-dependent mechanics, shooting feels better than ever.
