A new console joins the Nintendo Switch family: Nintendo Switch (OLED model) goes on sale on 8 October, expanding the range of options for enjoying the extensive catalogue of games for Nintendo Switch. Here you can watch the presentation video for the new console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model).

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is the same size as the original Nintendo Switch console, but includes a 7-inch OLED screen with vivid colours and high contrast. Nintendo Switch (OLED model) also features a wide adjustable stand for tabletop mode, a new dock with a wired LAN port for playing online with a more stable internet connection, 64 GB of internal storage and built-in speakers with optimised audio for enjoying clearer sound in handheld and tabletop modes. Like the Nintendo Switch console, Nintendo Switch (OLED model) allows you to play on the TV and share the detachable Joy-Con controllers for unforgettable multiplayer gaming.

VIVID COLOURS

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) includes a 7-inch screen with a slimmer bezel. The screen’s vivid colours and high contrast provide an enhanced handheld and tabletop gaming experience, bringing games to life whether you are racing at high speed on the track or facing formidable enemies.

Unlike LCD screens, an OLED screen has no backlight, displaying images using the light emitted by each individual pixel. Simply turning off a pixel’s light displays darker blacks, offering greater contrast.

WIDE ADJUSTABLE STAND

Enjoy tabletop mode at your preferred angle: open the stand and pass a controller to another player to share the screen and enjoy competitive and cooperative multiplayer wherever and whenever you want.

Nintendo Switch (OLED model) is compatible with the entire Nintendo Switch game catalogue. However, the gaming experience may differ when using some Toy-Con accessories from the Nintendo Labo range, due to the difference in the size of the Nintendo Switch (OLED model) console and screen compared with Nintendo Switch.

All previous versions of Joy-Con controllers and accessories for Nintendo Switch are compatible with Nintendo Switch (OLED model).
